We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and capable Plant Mechanic to join the team at HTS Plant.

You will work closely with the owner, Jeremy, to ensure the smooth running of operations and you will be mainly responsible for refurbishing plant and equipment for re-sale, including Belle Mixers, Excavators, Compactor Plates, Dumpers, Petrol Saws, Rammers and more.

Duties/Responsibilities/Requirements

• Running the workshop
• Keeping records of work done to machinery
• Dismantling and repairing or replacing faulty components
• Reassembling and testing components to ensure they’re working safely
• Explaining faults to colleagues and managers
• Using a wide range of specialist hand and power tools including sockets, spanners, screwdrivers, drills, lifting gear, and welding and cutting equipment.

Skills and Experience required

• Competent using all workshop tools
• A good understanding of plant machinery and small tools
• Understand the basic workings of construction site equipment
• Previous experience would be beneficial

This is a permanent role based in Hereford.
Salary: £25k dependent on qualifications and experience
Hours: 40-50 hours per week with flexible start and finish times to suit the successful applicant
Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays
