How to Protect Stationary Plant & Machinery

As the lockdown continues, construction sites across the UK remain closed with plant and machinery sat stationary and locked up. Whilst machinery is not being used, the fuel sitting in the tank and fuel lines is not moving; this is the ideal environment for organic growth to rapidly increase. This growth is known as algae, fungus, microbes or diesel bug. It occurs in the interface between fuel and water and can clog your fuel filters and seriously damage your fuel injection equipment. The longer a piece of machinery, fuel bowser or storage tank sits without being used, the higher the risk of contaminated fuel.

Now is the time to act to ensure when Britain gets back to work, and construction sites and machinery ‘fire up’ again, your machinery is protected. At HTS we stock a wide range of products to ensure you avoid some possible expensive repair bills!
