Preventing Slips, Trips and Falls in the Workplace

Did you know 37% of all reported workplace injuries are as a result of a sliptrip or fall, with 28% of all fatalities in the workplace being caused by a sliptrip or fall.

On average approximately 50 people die each year from a sliptrip or fall and a great many more are injured – some critically.

Tripping over in an environment such as the plant machinery workshop can have serious consequences. With so many hard surfaces and sharp edges in this space a trip can easily lead to a visit to A&E!

One of the major causes of tripping in the workshop are trailing power cables and leads. With the constant use of powered tools and equipment around the workshop, power cables dangerously trailing across workshops and walkways is a common sight.

Our latest range of RETRACTABLE 110 VOLT CABLE REELS have been introduced to massively reduce the risk of tripping on power cables. These robust, 110 volt, 16 amp cable reels are IP44 rated and are built to withstand even the most demanding of workshop environments. Both reels come complete with a 2 meter tail lead to allow the reel to be mounted in a position most suitable for the user. The powerful mechanism in the reel means the cable is both easy to pull out to use, and retracts back into the reel quickly and easily once the operator has finished their task.
