Smarter Stock Management for a Growing Plant Hire Business
2 bays installed | 70 stocked lines | 1-day installation | Personalised Tru7 branding
Tru7 Plant is a fast-growing, family-run business based in Ipswich, founded and run by father-and-son team Guy and Jake Nicholls. With a strong reputation in the plant industry and a real sense of pride in their brand and operation, Tru7 have built a busy and expanding business supplying plant and machinery.
Their dedicated stores operation supports the business with parts for a wide range of equipment, including dumpers and rollers from manufacturers such as Thwaites, Hamm and Mecalac.
The Challenge
With the business continuing to grow, Tru7 were looking for ways to make their stores even more efficient. Frequently used plant and dumper spares needed to be easy to identify, access and keep organised, while making the best use of the available space.
As the stores operation was being managed by Marshall alongside an apprentice in training, having frequently used stock clearly organised and readily available was an obvious opportunity to improve efficiency.
The Holstor® Solution
We supplied and installed two bays of Holstor racking, creating a dedicated area for 70 lines of commonly used plant and dumper spares.
The system was configured specifically around Tru7’s requirements, providing organised storage for parts supporting equipment from manufacturers including Thwaites, Hamm and Mecalac.
To complement Tru7’s strong brand identity, the installation also included personalised Tru7 side panels, giving the finished system a professional appearance that fits naturally within their existing stores.
The racking and stock were delivered ahead of installation, allowing the Holstor® team to complete the full setup in just one day, keeping disruption to the busy stores operation to a minimum.

The Result
“70 lines of frequently used plant spares, organised across two dedicated bays and installed in just one day.”
The completed Holstor® installation has given Tru7 a clearly defined and easily accessible stockholding area for frequently used plant spares.
With 70 product lines organised across two dedicated bays, the team can quickly identify where parts are stored, while maintaining the organised stores environment that Tru7 and Marshall take pride in.
The installation also provides a strong foundation for the system to develop alongside the business, with the opportunity to expand the range and introduce additional stock categories as Tru7’s requirements grow.
