Ultra Red Longlife Antifreeze 5 Litre - Oat Coolant, -40°C Protection

Ultra Red Longlife Antifreeze (HLU0898) is a universal 5-year engine coolant, suitable for year-round use in automotive and commercial petrol and diesel engines, plus certain industrial applications. Using Organic Acid Technology (OAT), it protects suitable engines from frost damage right down to -40°C (at 50% of total coolant volume), while also providing outstanding protection against rust and corrosion throughout the cooling system.

This Ethylene Glycol-based antifreeze is free from nitrites, amines, phosphates, borates and silicates, and conforms to BS 6580:2010, ASTM D3306, ASTM D4985, SAE J1034 and other international specifications. It can be used where Glysantin G12, G12+, G30, G33 or G34 coolants were originally recommended - always check suitability for your specific engine before ordering, and use as supplied with no dilution needed.

• What does 'OAT' antifreeze mean, and why does it last longer? Organic Acid Technology (OAT) coolants use organic acid inhibitors rather than traditional silicate/phosphate additives, allowing extended service life - up to 5 years or 250,000km in cars and 500,000km in commercial vehicles, compared with conventional antifreeze.
• Can I mix red OAT antifreeze with blue MEG antifreeze? No - different antifreeze technologies should not be mixed, as this can reduce corrosion protection and cause the coolant to gel or degrade; always check your vehicle or machine's specified coolant type before topping up.
