Mecalac Number Plate Lamp - OEM Number: 8000-5013

The Mecalac Number Plate Lamp (OEM 8000-5013) is listed as a replacement component for compatible Mecalac site dumpers. However, this OEM number is associated with a Reevite PV862 grommet, rather than a number plate lamp, and is used on selected TA6, TA6S, TA9 and TA9S machines.

As the supplied product name and OEM number do not correspond, the part should not be marketed as a number plate lamp without further confirmation. Using the correct OEM reference is important when ordering electrical components, particularly where the lamp assembly, mounting arrangement and wiring connections must match the machine.

FUNCTION AND OPERATION

• OEM 8000-5013 is identified as a rubber grommet rather than a number plate lamp.
• Provides a protective interface between components and surrounding machine structure.
• Helps reduce rubbing, vibration and movement at the mounting point.
• Helps protect associated components from damage caused by contact with metalwork.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please note: OEM number 8000-5013 does not correspond to a number plate lamp in the parts information I could verify. It is listed as a 31.8 x 4.8 x 23.8 mm Reevite PV862 grommet.

I would therefore recommend checking the OEM number for the number plate lamp before adding this product to the catalogue. Using 8000-5013 against a lamp description could result in customers ordering the wrong component.
