To determine the correct size of cable to be used simply calculate the maximum wattage required then divide it by the battery voltage. Select the HIGHEST rating cable

e.g. 2 x 60 watt lamps = 120 watt = 10Amps @ 12 volts 

The 17.5A cable should be used in this instance

  • 0.5mm2 / 11A
  • 1.5mm2 / 21A
  • 3.0mm2 (1 x 44/0.3mm) 27.5A
