What is AdBlue®?
AdBlue® is a clear, non-toxic liquid made from 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionised water. Stored in a separate tank, it’s injected into diesel exhaust gases through a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, converting harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water vapour.
Commonly used in HGVs, buses, tractors and modern diesel cars, AdBlue® helps vehicles meet Euro 6 emissions standards and must be topped up regularly.
