Inlet Valve

The Yanmar Inlet Valve (OEM 114250-11101) is a replacement engine valve designed for compatible Yanmar L40AE and L48AE-series diesel engines. Fitted within the cylinder head, the inlet valve controls the flow of fresh air into the combustion chamber during the engine's intake cycle, opening and closing in precise sequence with the movement of the engine's valve train.

Designed to operate under the demanding conditions found inside a diesel engine cylinder head, the valve is manufactured to withstand repeated opening and closing, high temperatures and continuous mechanical loading. Replacing a worn, damaged or poorly sealing inlet valve helps restore effective cylinder filling and maintain reliable engine performance.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

When replacing an inlet valve, the valve seat, valve guide and associated valve-train components should be inspected for wear or damage. Correct seating between the valve and valve seat is essential for maintaining cylinder compression and preventing combustion gases from escaping past the valve.

Always confirm the engine model and serial number before ordering, as Yanmar engines can use different valve specifications between variants. The valve should be installed as part of a correctly inspected and serviced cylinder-head assembly.
