The Yanmar Big End Shell/Bearing (OEM 714770-23600) is a replacement crank pin bearing designed for compatible Yanmar diesel engines. Fitted between the connecting rod and crankshaft crankpin, the bearing provides a controlled running surface that allows the connecting rod to articulate smoothly while supporting the substantial loads generated during engine operation.
Designed for the demanding conditions within the engine's lower end, the bearing helps maintain the correct clearance between the connecting rod and crankshaft. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When replacing big-end bearing shells, the crankshaft crankpin should be carefully inspected and measured for scoring, wear and correct diameter. The connecting-rod assembly should also be checked for damage and correct bearing seating before the new shells are installed.
Always confirm the engine model and serial number before ordering, particularly where crankshaft machining has previously been carried out. Yanmar also lists undersize bearing options for machined crankpins, so the correct bearing size must be selected to match the actual crankshaft specification.
